The 4th Annual Lighting of Atlantic Station will celebrate the start of the holiday season at Atlanta’s premier shopping district. The event features a full day of family-friendly activities including musical performances, street performers, children’s activities, the Steel Mill Express miniature train rides, horse and carriage rides as well as the holiday shops, an open-air marketplace offering unique handcrafted holiday gifts.

November 22-December 31: “It’s Snowing in the Station”
This holiday season Atlantic Station brings back a holiday favorite, “It’s Snowing in the Station.” Gather around Atlantic Station’s grand 50-foot tall Christmas Tree and experience the magic of a realistic snowfall week nights at 7:00pm, and Fridays and Saturdays hourly from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Bring the family and experience Atlantic Station’s Central Park as it is transformed into a winter wonderland. The snow is weather permitting and will be cancelled if it is raining.

Saturdays & Sundays, November 15 through December 21:
The Steel Mill Express Children’s Train
A charming miniature train ride for all ages recalling the industrial heritage of the Atlantic Station site. The train’s operating hours are from 12noon – 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $3 per person and can be purchased at the Steel Mill Express Ticket Depot near Rosa Mexicano. The train is weather permitting and will be cancelled if it is raining.

Horse & Carriage Rides
| The Horse & Carriage Rides will once again be available in Atlantic Station. The carriage will traverse the beautifully decorated streets of Atlantic Station while riders enjoy the magical glow of over 250,000 lights and the Midtown skyline. 100% of funds raised will support the Atlanta Dog House Pet Rescue & Adoption. |

The Holiday Shops in Atlantic Station
In the tradition of Bryant Park, Columbus Circle and outdoor European marketplaces, the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces brings back the “Holiday Shops” in Atlantic Station. These open-air shops feature unique holiday items including gourmet jellies, Ecuadorian alpaca, outdoor sports gear, artwork, jewelry, and more. Atlantic Station is pleased to announce a new weekly program - the Station Stroll - for in-town moms, dads, and caregivers. Every Wednesday this October, moms and their children in strollers are invited to meet at PJ’s Coffee & Lounge for meet for a one-mile walk through Atlantic Station. Coffee and socializing begin at 9:30am and the stroll begins at 10:00am. Most retailers open at 10 am on weekdays so shopping and dining are a great option after (or during!) the stroll.
